Lok Sabha Election 2024: Union Minister Anurag Thakur Casts Vote In Himachal's Hamirpur | ABP News
Union Minister and BJP Leader Anurag Thakur cast his vote in Himachal's Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat. While talking to an ABP News reporter, Anurag Thakur requested voters to come outside from home and exercise their franchise. He also said, "BJP workers have done a lot of work, and we will receive the blessings of the people."
The Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat will witness a fierce battle between four-time MP Anurag Thakur and Congress leader Satpal Singh Raizada. The constituency is a bastion of the saffron party, with Thakur's father Prem Kumar Dhumal also having won from here.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Thakur secured the seat by garnering 682,692 votes (69 per cent), while the grand old party’s Ram Lal Thakur secured 283,120 votes (28.6 per cent). Bahujan Samaj Party's (BSP) Desh Raj stood in the third position with 7,095 votes.
