In the election campaign, Union Home Minister and BJP veteran leader Amit Shah is targeting the opposition alliance while addressing election rallies across the country. Meanwhile, during an election rally in Khalilabad, Uttar Pradesh, he predicted the number of seats the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) would win after five phases of voting. He said, "The voting for the five phases has ended. In these five phases, Modi Ji has crossed 310 seats, and the INDIA alliance has been completely wiped out." 

Targeting the Samajwadi Party, Home Minister Amit Shah said, "The Samajwadi Party ordered the shooting of Ram devotees, with hundreds of karsevaks being gunned down. This election is between those who ordered the shooting of Ram devotees and those who are building the Ram Temple."
