Taliban announced Mohammad Hasan Akhund as the acting prime minister of Afghanistan, while Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar will serve as his deputy. Sirajuddin Haqqani, the son of the founder of the Haqqani network, will be the new interior minister, whereas Mullah Omar’s son, Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob, will be the new defence minister.
