Kerala guv reads out anti-CAA portion to honour CM's wish during budget address
Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, in Kerala assembly, during budget address expressed that though he disagreed with the state government over its resolution requesting the Centre to abrogate the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, he would still read out the 18th paragraph, the portion with reference to the CAA, in his policy speech only to "honour the wish of Chief Minister" Pinarayi Vijayan.
"I am going to read this para (paragraph 18) because the Honorable Chief Minister wants me to read this, although I hold the view that this does not come under the definition of the policy or programme," he said.
