JP Nadda Urges Maharashtra BJP Leaders: 'Ensure Harmony with Allies' - Sources | ABP News

A key meeting of senior BJP leaders was held at the residence of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and senior leader Devendra Fadnavis. This meeting included the core committee of Maharashtra BJP and other leaders. During the meeting, BJP National President JP Nadda reviewed the upcoming state assembly elections. Sources indicate that, ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the meeting emphasized appealing to the Maha Yuti leaders to contest the elections together. Recently, the stances of Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar have shown signs of shifting, with both leaders running separate campaigns for the 'Ladli Behan' scheme. This discord between Shinde and Pawar has necessitated BJP’s mediation. Instructions for Maharashtra BJP In a recent cabinet meeting, there were reports of discord between Ajit Pawar and Shiv Sena leaders. Consequently, JP Nadda instructed BJP leaders to play the role of a 'big brother' and manage the interests of both parties. Additionally, Nadda warned BJP leaders to stay alert for any potential rebellion during the elections. Attendees at the Meeting In addition to JP Nadda, the meeting was attended by Union Minister and BJP Maharashtra in-charge Bhupender Yadav, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, the state BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Mumbai unit president Ashish Shelar, former Union Minister Raosaheb Danve, and legislative council member Pravin Darekar. Last week, Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah visited Mumbai and held a meeting with Shinde, Fadnavis, and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. The Maharashtra Assembly elections are expected to be held in November. The BJP, along with Shinde's Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), form the ruling Maha Yuti alliance in the state.
