Independence Day 2024: 'Worked On The Model Of Women-Led-Development' Says PM Modi | ABP News

Prime Minister Modi expressed concerns about certain issues in the country, saying, "I want to express my anguish from here. As a society, we need to think about the atrocities being committed against our mothers, sisters, and daughters. There is public outrage over this. State governments must take these matters seriously. Crimes against women should be investigated as quickly as possible, and those who commit such monstrous acts should be given the harshest punishment as soon as possible. This is essential to instill confidence in society." He further stated, "When atrocities against women occur, they are widely discussed. However, when those responsible for such heinous acts are punished, the news gets sidelined and is not given the attention it deserves. Now, the demand of the time is that the punishment of such culprits should also be widely publicized so that those who commit such sins will fear the consequences, including the possibility of being hanged. I believe it is necessary to create this fear."
