The early trends have put the Aam Aadmi Party on front seat with over 50 seats, while BJP seemed to flail behind the 20 mark, as the counting of the votes for all 70 seats of Delhi assembly is underway.
However, BJP's Delhi unit chief Manoj Tiwari said he was still hopeful for the party.
"I am still hopeful, after seeing the early trends," he told reporters.
Among the AAP candidates, Arvind Kejriwal is leading from New Delhi constituency while Manish Sisodia and Atishi were leading from Patparganj and Kalkaji. While among BJP leaders Vijender Gupta is ahead in Rohini, OP Sharma is leading in Vishwas Nagar.
