Hiked train fares to affect long-distance journeys the most
In a shock to millions of passengers across the country, the Indian railways have hiked the passenger fares. The revised fares will be effective from today. The Indian Railways on Tuesday hiked passenger fares for sleeper class by 2 paise per kilometre and for 3AC, 2AC and AC first class by four paise per kilometre. On the other hand, for mail or express travel the people will have to pay 2 paisa per kilometre more. Watch the report to know the details.
