Hathras Stampede: 'Number Of Attendees Was Way More Than Approved,' Reveals Report | ABP News
121 people were killed in the stampede during a satsang in Hathras on July 2, while a large number of people were injured. The SIT formed in the Hathras stampede case has given its report. The SIT also recorded the statements of DM Hathras Ashish Kumar and SP Nipun Aggarwal, SDM and CO Sikandra Rao, who gave permission for the Satsang, and police personnel engaged on the duty of 2nd July Satsang. Statements of the relatives of the deceased and injured devotees have also been recorded in the satsang. According to the sources, in the report, the committee organizing the satsang has held the incident responsible for calling more people than allowed, not making adequate arrangements as well as not inspecting the spot by the officers despite giving permission.
