Hathras Stampede: 116 People Lost Lives While 20 People Are Reportedly Injured In 'Satsang' | ABP News
A stampede at a'satsang' in the Hathras region of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday resulted in the deaths of up to 121 persons, making it one of the deadliest catastrophes in recent memory. The bodies of the devotees were heaped on top of one other in a death trap. According to officials, even though the post-mortems for the 121 dead are being held in Agra, Etah, Kasganj, and Aligarh, at least 72 of the bodies have been identified thus far. The preacher at whose religious gathering the tragedy occurred, Narayan Saakar Hari, also known as "Bhole Baba," is still at large, according to the Uttar Pradesh Police. "We were unable to locate Baba ji on campus.Sunil Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, stated, "He is not here."
