A devastating accident occurred in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, where a Roadways bus and a Max loader collided, resulting in the deaths of at least 15 people and injuring over 10 others. The number of fatalities is expected to rise. Reports indicate that the Max loader, carrying passengers returning from a post-funeral feast, was hit by the Roadways bus. The incident took place in the Mitaei village area on the Agra-Aligarh bypass in the Chandpa police station jurisdiction. The Max loader was returning to Sevla village near Khandoli after attending a thirteenth-day feast in Mukund Khera, Sasni. Among the injured, over a dozen people are reported to be in serious condition. District Magistrate Ashish Kumar stated that the collision occurred between a Roadways bus and a Tata Magic vehicle on NH-93 near Mitaei village. The accident resulted in the tragic deaths of 12 people, including four children, and left 16 others injured. Four of the injured are in critical condition and have been referred to Aligarh for further treatment, while the remaining are receiving care at the district hospital. Following the incident, DM Ashish Kumar and SP, along with other administrative officials, visited the district hospital to assess the condition of the injured. The accident was caused by an overtaking maneuver, and police are currently engaged in legal proceedings related to the case.
