Govt is coordination with private sector to increase Covid-19 testing: Health Ministry

In his regular press briefing, Joint Health Secretary Lav Aggarwal said that the government is coordinating with private sector increase Covid-19 testings across the country. He also added that Delhi government under the Epidemic Act has asked the District Magistrates, Municipal Corporations & Police, to look into the matters wherein landowners are forcing doctors&nurses to vacate their property.

Meanwhile, ICMR's Dr Gangakhedkar has said that till now 42,788 samples have been tested, including 4,346 samples that were tested on Monday. It represents 36% of the nation's capacity. 123 labs have been made functional, 49 private labs have been given permission. On Monday, 399 patients were tested in private labs
