General Naravane takes charge as India's 28th Army chief | Super 40
Lieutenant General Manoj Mukund Naravane took over the charge as Chief of Army Staff on Tuesday succeeding General Bipin Rawat, who has been appointed India's first Chief of the Defence Staff. Rawat on Monday handed over charges to Naravane. Naravane said, "It is an honour to be given this responsibility. I express my gratitude to all soldiers who have stood steadfast under challenging circumstances, performing their duties, keeping the traditions of our armed forces. "
