Twenty soldiers of the Indian Army, including a Colonel, were martyred in a skirmish with Chinese troops in Galwan Valley, Ladakh, in eastern Ladakh on Monday night i.e. 15 June. there were also casualties from the Chinese side. This is the biggest confrontation between the two powers since the 1967 conflict in Nathu La.
Sources said that the colonel-to-colonel level talks between the two sides were held several times during the day at the same post.
