Fear of NRC, CAA trigger violence in Bengal, Kota & Bihar | Panchnama
The fear of National Register of Citizens (NRC) and Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) has triggered violence in parts of West Bengal, Kota and Bihar. Some people set ablaze a 20-year- old girl's house, who is an NGO worker in West Bengal. People misbehaved with a government servant who was out on a survey in Kota.
The CAA, passed in Parliament last month, seeks to provide Indian nationality to Hindus, Christians, Sikhs, Parsis, Jains and Buddhists fleeing persecution in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh before December 31, 2014.
