Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad defeated all the political party contenders and won Uttar Pradesh's Nagina Lok Sabha seat. He won with a margin of 151,000 votes, defeating Samajwadi Party's Manoj Kumar, Bharatiya Janata Party's Om Kumar, and Bahujan Samaj Party's Surendra Pal Singh.
Chandrashekhar Azad, the emerging young leader in Dalit politics and head of the Bhim Army group, will replace the Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) as the primary representative of the Scheduled Castes in Uttar Pradesh.
