Dilip Jaiswal Appointed as New BJP State President After Samrat Choudhary | ABP News
After Samrat Choudhary, Dilip Jaiswal has been appointed as the new state president of the BJP. Dilip Jaiswal will now take on the responsibility of the BJP state president position, as announced by the party. Following Chief Minister Nitish's inclusion in the NDA, Samrat Choudhary was made the Deputy CM by the BJP. Since then, there had been speculations that the BJP might assign the state president's responsibilities to someone else. Now, after the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP has announced the new state president. The party has also issued a letter regarding this. The letter from BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh states, "Honorable National President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, has appointed Dr. Dilip Jaiswal, Member of Legislative Council, as the President of Bihar State BJP. This appointment is effective immediately." Dilip Jaiswal is currently the Minister of Revenue and Land Reforms. He is a dedicated BJP worker and represents Seemanchal in the Legislative Council. He has also served as the treasurer of Bihar BJP for a long time. Recently, a BJP state executive meeting was held in Patna, which was considered crucial for the upcoming assembly elections. It was also speculated that discussions regarding the state president position took place during this meeting. According to BJP rules, one person cannot hold two positions. After Samrat Choudhary became the Deputy CM, it was clear that he would step down from the president position. Additionally, the BJP did not perform outstandingly in the recent Lok Sabha elections in Bihar and wants to ensure better performance in the upcoming assembly elections. This decision by the BJP is also in line with that goal.
