DCGI permits emergency use of 2 Covid-19 vaccines in India | Serum-Bharat Biotech
Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) in a press conference on Sunday has announced that permission has been given for the emergency use of two Covid-19 vaccines in India.
One is 'Covishield' and the other is 'Covaxin' of Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech.
Eleven months after the first case of deadly coronavirus was detected in India, Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) V.G. Somani on Sunday approved Serum Institute of India's 'Covishield' vaccine and Bharat Biotech's 'Covaxin' for emergency use, paving the way for their roll-out and administration to millions.
One is 'Covishield' and the other is 'Covaxin' of Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech.
