Covid cases surge past 88 lakh, 41,000 fresh cases in past 24 hrs

The coronavirus cases in the country have crossed the mark of 88 Lakh. In the past 24 hours, around 41,000 fresh cases have been reported, 447 people have died due to the illness and 42,000 people have recovered. 

The recovery rate stands at 93.09 per cent, and the fatality rate at 1.47 per cent, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said.
