The death toll from China's new coronavirus epidemic jumped past 2,000 on Wednesday after 136 more people died, with the number of new cases falling for a second straight day, according to the National Health Commission.
China on Tuesday reiterated that rumors about COVID-19 or coronavirus were terrible and had the potential to stigmatize Chinese people around the world.
The National Health Commission sent 217 medical teams with more than 30,000 staff and three mobile P3 laboratories to support the treatment in Hubei. Wuhan has mobilized 16,000 people to conduct a complete search of all the communities.
