Congress Account Freeze: 'Told to keep Rs 115 crore in the account' - Ajay Maken's

On the news related to removal of freeze on Congress's account, party leader Ajay Maken has claimed that "His party has not got any relief. They have been asked to keep Rs 115 crore in the account. This means that the accounts are frozen. " In fact, the Income Tax Department has frozen the bank accounts of Congress and Youth Congress citing 45 days delay in filing returns for the financial year 2018-19. Congress Treasurer Ajay Maken disclosed this matter on Friday (16 February 2024).
