Petrol prices surpassed 100 pence per litre today, with rates increasing by 80 pence per litre for petrol and 70 pence for diesel, bringing the total increase in rates in one week to 4.80 pence per litre. Petrol will now cost 100.21 per litre in Delhi, up from 99.41 previously, while diesel will cost 91.47 per litre, up from 90.77 previously, according to a price notification from state fuel merchants. Rates have been raised across the country, and the amount of municipal taxation varies from state to state.
