CAA: Nationwide protests strengthen democracy, says Pranab Mukherjee

Former President Pranab Mukherjee has said that nationwide protests will strengthen the roots of democracy. Speaking at an event, Mukherjee said, "Indian democracy has been tested time and again. A large number of people, particularly youth, come out in large numbers to voice their views. Their belief in the Constitution of India is heartening to see. The consensus is the lifeblood of  democracy."
