Breaking News: CBI Arrests NBCC DGM Vivek Popli in Rs 5 Lakh Bribery Sting Operation | ABP News
The CBI has arrested Vivek Popli, a Deputy General Manager (DGM) at NBCC, for accepting a bribe of ₹5 lakh. Popli, who was stationed in Leh, traveled to Delhi to receive the bribe. He was caught red-handed by the CBI during a sting operation. The CBI is currently holding him in custody for interrogation. According to CBI officials, Popli, stationed in Ladakh, had allegedly demanded ₹11 lakh from a contractor associated with a project in Ladakh. During the negotiations, he reportedly agreed to accept ₹5 lakh as partial payment in Delhi. He was arrested on Wednesday evening while receiving the bribe.
