Bihar News: 9 Kanwariyas Electrocuted to Death in Hajipur, Watch Video | ABP News

A tragic incident occurred in Hajipur, Bihar, where nine Kanwariyas, including a minor, died due to electrocution late Sunday night (August 4). The accident happened when a DJ system came into contact with an 11,000-volt power line, causing a fire that engulfed the DJ trolley. The incident took place in Sultanpur village within the industrial police station area of Hajipur. Senior district officials, police, ambulance, and fire brigade teams quickly arrived at the scene. According to reports, the Kanwariyas had collected Ganga water from the Phelaja Ghat and were on their way to the Baba Harinath temple to perform Jalabhishek on the third Monday of Sawan (August 5). The group was just leaving the village around 11 PM when the DJ system came into contact with the high-voltage wire, causing chaos and panic. Several individuals were injured and have been admitted to Sadar Hospital in Hajipur. All the deceased have been identified.
