Political activity is heating up in Haryana with both the BJP and the Congress announcing their lists of candidates. The state goes to polls on October 5, with results to be announced on October 8. The state is slated for a close contest, with the BJP and the Congress each winning 5 of the state’s 10 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.  The BJP has released the names of 67 candidates in its first list for Haryana, with ticket distribution for 23 of the state’s 90 assembly
