Bangladesh Violence: Protesters Turn Violent, Set Buildings Ablaze | ABP News
Protests over reservation in Bangladesh have intensified. As the situation worsened, Sheikh Hasina resigned as Prime Minister and left the country on Monday. Over the past few days, at least 300 people have been killed in violent clashes.
In light of the violence, India has advised its citizens to avoid travel to Bangladesh until further notice. The Ministry of External Affairs has also warned citizens in Bangladesh to remain extremely vigilant and limit their movement.
Following the coup, the army has taken control. Army Chief General Waqaruz-Zaman announced that an interim government will be formed within 48 hours and assured that peace will be restored in Bangladesh.
