Assam Govt introduces Bill over shutting down of Madrasas & Sanskrit Schools
A bill was introduced in the winter session of the state assembly today after the Assam cabinet approved the proposal to close all government madrasas and Sanskrit schools. Hemant Biswa Sarma said that he is feeling happy over the introduction of this bill.
He added that there are 610 government madrassas in Assam and the government spends 260 crores per year on these institutions, the state madrasa education board Assam will be dissolved, all government madrasas will be converted into high schools.
