Cyclone Tauktae: 100 NDRF teams deployed in 6 states, Indian Navy & IAF on alert

The NDRF has increased the number of its teams from 53 to 100 for relief rescue work in the wake of cyclone Tauktae. These teams have been prepared for deployment in the coastal areas of Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Gujarat and Maharashtra.  The Air Force has kept 16 transport aircraft and 18 helicopters ready for operation in the peninsular areas.
