View In AppThe Hindu community considers Bhojshala of Dhar district as the temple of Goddess Vagdevi, while the Muslims call it Kamal Maula's mosque. Religious frenzy has arisen many times on this issue. Especially when Basant Panchami falls on Friday, because Muslims offer Namaz in Bhojshala and Hindus stand in queue to worship. To understand this dispute, you have to go back more than 1000 years.
In the pages of history, Dhar was ruled by the Parmar dynasty. During this time, King Bhoj was the ruler of Dhar from 1000 to 1055 AD. The special thing was that King Bhoj was a great devotee of Goddess Saraswati. King Bhoj established a college here in 1034. This college later came to be known as Bhojshala. Hindu religion has special faith in this.
On the other hand, it is being claimed that Alauddin Khilji allegedly destroyed Bhojshala in 1305 AD. After this, in 1401 AD, Dilawar Khan built a mosque in a part of Bhojshala. After this, Mohammad Shah Khilji built another mosque in a different part of Bhojshala in 1514 AD.
