Huge Boost For BJP In Sikkim As 10 MLAs Of SDF Join Party

Ten legislators of the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the national capital today.  The MLAs were inducted into the party fold in presence of BJP's working president JP Nadda and BJP general secretary Ram Madhav. Madhav congratulated the SDF MLAs for joining BJP and said BJP would now play "role of a constructive opposition" in the state. Former chief minister Pawan Kumar Chamling who founded SDF reportedly did not join the saffron party.
