Ghanti Bajao: 20 lakh UP govt employees struggling to get restoration of the old pension scheme

Around 20 lakh Uttar Pradesh government employees in Uttar Pradesh have been demanding restoration of the old pension scheme, for a week. The protests are on despite the Yogi Adityanath government invoking the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA). 
The new pension scheme (NPS) depends on the share market and it is uncertain whether employees would get half of their salary as pension."
