Encounter underway in J-K's Shopian district, 3 terrorists trapped

An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday morning, defence officials said. In Meemendar area of Shopian, security forces launched a cordon and search operation following intelligence inputs about the presence of three militants, the officials said.  

After the militants opened fire, the search operation turned into an encounter. There were no reports of any casualties so far in the operation, the officials said.
