CBI Special Court awards life imprisonment to Ram Rahim in journalist murder case

A Special CBI court in Panchkula on Thursday awarded life imprisonment to convicted Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in the murder of journalist Ramchander Chhatrapati. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on the self-styled godman. Three other convicts Kuldeep Singh, Nirmal Singh and Krishan Lal, have also been given life imprisonment.  Ram Rahim  is currently serving a 20-year term in a rape case. Sources have told ABP news that the two sentences will run consecutively.
