Ahead of Xi Jinping's India visit, Chinese & Indian border personnel hold BPM meet at Nathula
Ahead of Chinese president Xi Jinping's India visit, Indian troops joined their Chinese counterparts in celebrating the 70th National Day of China at several places along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday.
The army and the Border Security Force (BSF) held ceremonial border personnel meetings, a mechanism to discuss local issues for peace and tranquillity along the border, with China's People's Republic Army. The ceremonies were held at Nathu La, Bum La and Kibithu along the LAC.
During the interaction, participants reaffirmed their resolve to strengthen friendship and maintain peace & tranquillity along the LAC, the statement added.
