Amid COVID-19 Pandemic, George Floyd's Death Fuels Violent Protests All Over America | ABP Uncut
On May 25, a viral video of an unarmed 46-year old African American man George Floyd lay pinned to the ground by a white police officer on an allegation of forgery had surfaced. After this incident, Floyd died. Minneapolis where the alleged killing took place, has been roiled by protests for the last five days, 25 cities have imposed curfews and numerous states activated National Guard forces in anticipation of another night of protests, sparked in part by the death of Floyd. Violent protests upsurged and the fifth police precinct was "gheraoed " by the protesters. After this Police Officer Derek Chauvin was arrested and now has been accused of the murder of George Floyd.
