In an attempt to gain views, a YouTuber's challenge landed him in legal trouble. A YouTuber identified as Bhanuchander was booked by the Ghatkesar police for tossing bundles of currency notes into bushes and challenging viewers to locate the hidden money. The incident occurred on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near exit number 9 in Ghatkesar.


The video, originally shared on Instagram and other social media platforms, showed the man dressed in a t-shirt and jeans holding bundles of Rs 200 notes. He is seen throwing the cash into the bushes along the ORR and encouraging his followers to retrieve it as part of a “money hunt” challenge.


The stunt drew a large crowd to the area with people stopping their vehicles to search for the hidden money. This led to significant traffic disruptions and safety concerns. It prompted ORR patrolling officials to intervene in the matter.

Following the incident, a complaint was lodged at the Ghatkesar police station. Based on the complaint, the YouTuber has been booked under Sections 125 and 292 of the BNS Act and Section 8(b) of the National Highway Act. He was booked for endangering lives and creating a public nuisance.


Security measures have been strengthened at ORR exit number 9 to prevent further disruptions. 


The video quickly went viral garnering widespread criticism from netizens who demanded strict action against the YouTuber. Authorities have cautioned against such dangerous stunts and reiterated the importance of ensuring public safety on highways.
