A naked man climbed into the women’s compartment of the Mumbai local train on Monday, which angered the passengers. This occurred on the AC local travelling from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to Kalyan. Women were yelling at the man to get out of the train when he boarded the train at the Ghatkopar railway station.
However, the man did not budge. The angry passengers raised alarm over this which caused the train operator to bring it to a halt. Passengers started calling out the ticket collector (TC), who just happened to be in the adjoining compartment.
He shoved the naked man, who refused to let go of the handles and it was only with force the TC was able to push the man out.
In a video that has been shared online, shows the women yelling at the naked man to deboard the train. They could be heard saying “niche utro” (get down) while the man who was standing near the doorway holding the handles.

Soon after the TC comes to push the man out, during which the man holds on the handles very firmly. However, the TC manages to push out.
According to the Hindustan Times (HT), Railway personnel have said that the man was mentally ill. He was soon caught by the Government Railway Police (GRP), who helped him into some clothes and left him outside the station.
Several people online said that it was likely that the man was mentally ill. However, commenting on the incident, Lata Argade, said that the incident raised questions about safety and security, as per the HT report. Argade said that the man was able to board the train from a busy station like Ghatkopar without any problem.
