Woman Tracks 'Missing' Luggage Via AirTag At An Apartment After Airlines Says Bag Safe With Them
The woman's luggage came back to her after it travelled between an apartment complex, a McDonald's and a shopping complex in Washington DC for nearly six days.
Many of us may have experienced the trouble of our luggage being misplaced by the airlines company that we travelled with. Some of us even know that it will not appear again. But a woman who faced a similar issue managed to get her luggage bag with the help of a tracking device she had place in the bag with the clothes. Her story on how she got it back is now gone viral on the internet.
Valerie Szybala, on December 28, arrived in Washington DC on a flight from Chicago when she was told that her bag hadn't made it. The United Airlines, with whish she had made the journey said it as safe at the safely at its distribution center and would be sent to her home, reported CNN.
The airlines, however, failed to do so and the woman tracked her luggage with the help of an Apple AirTag packed with her clothes. Szybala's luggage came back to her after it travelled between an apartment complex, a McDonald's and a shopping complex in Washington DC for nearly six days, reported the media house.
Szybala took to twitter to share her trauma. In the post shared on the micro-bogging site, she accused the airlines of losing track of her suitcase and 'lying about it.'
"I'd just like everyone to know that United has lost track of my bag and is lying about it. My apple AirTag shows that it has been sitting in a residential complex for over a day," Szybala wrote while sharing the post.
I’d just like everyone to know that @united has lost track of my bag and is lying about it. My apple AirTag shows that it has been sitting in a residential apartment complex for over a day. Out back by the dumpsters, I have found other emptied United Airlines bags. pic.twitter.com/fcoq4nj3zb
