A gap year in ones CV is not considered good by several companies. So, to justify that a lot of people have an explanation ready and write the reason in their CVs. A woman did just the same. he justified a 13-year gap in her employment history by listing her experience as a homemaker. Yes, You heard that right. Yugansh Chokra, founder of content marketing company Growthic shared the CV of the woman on LinkedIn and applauded her for the honesty.

"And the reason I love this is because managing a family is a real task, something that can’t be undervalued. Less than 20% of women in India are working in a professional capacity. Gender gaps in housework participation are the largest among couples with children. It’s a real job, you can’t just discount the amount of work someone has to do to manage a family. Thoughts on this type of CV?," wrote Chokra sharing the woman's CV.

As soon as the CV was shared by Chokra on LinkedIn it went viral and has so far gained over 700 comments.

"Managing a household really is a full-time job. It's great to see this experience being highlighted on a CV," commented one user on the post."

"Mentioning Homemaker as an experience is noteworthy and this truly reflects the open mindset of the person to be able to add qualitative value to something which is usually sidelined and considered a minimal task by the society," wrote another user.

"It’s really nice to see this kind of Resume. I just quit my job to look after my toddler who is 2 years old and seriously this is really hard job to do. I believe every single parent can add this skills as they are doing in their real time life and by following daily routine. It’s wonderful Yugansh Chokra," wrote a third.
