A video of a woman berating a group of German tourists on a New Jersey Transit train to New York City has gone viral on the internet. In the clip, the woman identified as Brianna Pinnix, can be heard yelling at them and saying, "Get the f**k out of our country." However, the woman has now been dismissed from her job at Capital Rx, a World Trade Center-based pharmacy benefit manager, after the video of the incident surfaced on Reddit.
"Unhinged Karen in training goes off on unsuspecting German tourists in xenophobic NYC train rant, reads the caption of the post.
In the video, Pinnix, who has since been dubbed a 'Karen', looks to be inebriated as she approaches the men aggressively asking them "What did you say, tell me what you said." Her boyfriend, who is also travelling with her tries to intervene and diffuse the situation.
Following his intervention, she returns to her seat. However, she soon stands up and resumes her outburst against the tourists.
"Brie, do not do this, you’re going to get arrested," the boyfriend can be heard saying. But the woman doesn’t seem to listen and says "I can handle my own." After nothing works to calm her down, the boyfriend warns, "Stop this, or I’m never going to talk to you again," to which she says, "I love you, but get off me." All this while, the German tourists do not seem to pay much heed to her and keep laughing among themselves.
Towards the end of the video she can be seen rushing towards the tourists to hit them but is stopped by her boyfriend again. At this moment, she yells at them, "How about you get the f**” out of our country," leaving the passengers in the coach surprised.
