'Stop Polluting The World': German Professor's Strange Reply To Desi Student's Internship Application Is Viral

"This is a very bad reply! Just goes on to say more about this person than about your profile. Better to not work under such Professor," commented one user on the post.

An Indian student sent an internship application to a professor at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany in the hope of receiving a positive response from the professor. Instead, the reply he got was a bit strange that not only confused him but also social media users.

Sharing the incident on the microblogging site X, formerly Twitter, Harshit Tiwari wrote, "My friend sent an email for a research internship in Germany to a German professor! Here's what the response was! Can someone explain this remark." he also shared screenshot of the email along with the post.

In the snapshot shared one can see the reply of the professor that reads, "You would pollute the air by flying to come here: That is why I will not invite you here. Think about doing your internship close to where you live to avoid polluting our world!".

The post was shared on X by Harshit on October, since then it has gone viral and amassed close to 80,000 views and tons of comments.

"This is a very bad reply! Just goes on to say more about this person than about your profile. Better to not work under such Professor," commented one user on the post.

"Germans have the audacity to talk about polluting the air??, damn that's funny!!," wrote another user.

"he seems to be one of those active climate activists of germany," joked a third.

While  fourth wrote, "Prof does not realize he writing email is polluting the air as well."
