Parents are always protective about their children, and can take any amount of risk to safeguard them from danger. In a remarkable show of parents’ protectiveness, a porcupine parents saved their baby from a leopard attack. The video of the incident has gone viral after being shared on the internet.
The clip shared by Indian Administrative Service officer (IAS) Supriya Sahuthe shows the porcupine parents crossing the road with their baby when a leopard attacks them. The two try to shield the little ones by keeping the baby in between them. The porcupines used their quills and sharp spines to keep the predator at bay. One of the porcupines is also seen furiously charging at the leopard.
"Porcupine parents provide Z class security to their baby from a leopard, fighting valiantly & thwarting all attempts of the leopard to even touch their baby," read the caption of the post shared by Sahuthe.
The video was shared on Friday, and since then has amassed close to 4 lakh views, over 4 thousand likes and several comments.
On seeing the video one user wrote, "I can't help appreciating the babies who are dutifully following their parents and not trying to be extra smart."
