Bengaluru, the silicon valley of India is not only infamous for its traffic woes but finding an accommodation is a huge problem in the city. Rents are exorbitantly high and there is a lot of grueling done by house owners. Now, a picture of a flat listed on a house-hunting website has baffled social media users. The tiny flat that can fit just a single bed is available for rent at a surprisingly high price.


"A room for bed is a bedroom. WTF Bangalore. What the hell? Why? 12k for this s..t, and there'll be some d......k who'd actually pay," reads the caption of the post shared on on Reddit by a user ‘_saiya_’ on the platform’s ‘r/India’ community.


The picture shows the room that can barely accommodate a single bed, available for rent in Bengaluru’s Mahadevapura for Rs 12,000 per month. Later in the comments section, '_saiya_' shared that the deposit for this particular 1RK (room, kitchen and bathroom) is Rs 50,000.

"Reminder to self. Never apply for jobs in bangalore," wrote another user.


"Not a flex, but my toilet is bigger than that bedroom," commented a third.


While a fourth wrote, "To be honest I’ve seen flats like these in Mumbai and the brokers demand 1 month rent as brokerage plus yearly brokerage of 1 month rent."


"Foyers in regular homes are bigger than this. People would be better off buying a 10x10 plot and building a kaccha house in here," wrote a fifth.
