New Delhi: In light of its most recent marketing campaign, IndiGo Airline has sparked a meme storm on Twitter. The airline talked about serving salads that are "made today and served today" on the microblogging site on Saturday. However, IndiGo posted a picture of the Indian breakfast dish known as "Poha" with a slice of lemon squeezed into it to demonstrate its freshness rather than a picture of a fresh "salad."
Twitter users began to criticise IndiGo for their take on a salad. "Salads that are prepared and served on the same day, do try them. You'll toss everything else away. #AiromaticFresh #goIndiGo," the airline wrote in the caption of its post.
IndiGo's post received swift responses from Internet users. While some individuals criticised the airline for its deceptive image, others laughed hysterically.

"If you are talking to Indians, by no measure this is a salad- it's "poha". You used to sell "upma"/ "poha" ready to eat versions by mixing boiling water so far; perhaps this version is freshly prepared poha with lime juice. It's not salad," wrote one user. "That's POHA.... POHA. Not Salad," said another.
