The Hyderabad traffic police issued an advisory for the ongoing construction work at the Amberpet flyover on NH-163. The traffic diversions were enforced from Monday until March 10.


A release on Sunday revealed that the road from the Gandhi statue to Amberpet T Junction (near Sree Ramana) will be closed for 40 days from January 30 to March 10.


The Hyderabad traffic police suggested alternative routes and requested motorists to use these routes to avoid inconvenience.

General traffic, including city RTC buses coming from Uppal towards 6 No. Junction, will be diverted at Gandhi Statue – Prem Sadan Police boys hostel – Saldana Gate (CPL Amberpet) – Ali Cafe X Roads, and the right turn towards 6 No. Junction – Golnaka – Nimobliadda–Chaderghat.


Heavy vehicles and RTC buses going to Chadarghat from Uppal side via Bus Stop No. 6 will be diverted from Habsiguda Cross Roads to Tarnaka, Osmania University, Adikmet Flyover, Vidya Nagar, Fever Hospital, Barkat Pura, and Nimboli Adda.


Traffic Restrictions Near Bapu Ghat


Traffic diversion was imposed near Bapu Ghat because of the '75th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi' observed at Bapu Ghat on Monday. VIPs and dignitaries visited Bapughat to pay homage to the father of the nation at 10.30 am.


Traffic was diverted on Monday from 10 AM to 11.30 AM at Bapughat in Langer Houz-Nanal Nagar-Andhra Flour Mill-Langer Houz-Sangam Bus Stop, and other surrounding areas.
