Former Pakistan prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan appeared before an anti-terrorism court in Lahore on Tuesday wearing a bizarre-looking protective headgear.

A video of the PTI chief wearing a "hilarious" makeshift bulletproof helmet that looked like a black hood, fully guarded by four men with bulletproof shields immediately went viral after being shared online. Khan was appearing before the court to seek an extension in bail in three of the scores of cases registered against him.

The clip shared on the microblogging site Twitter by Major Surendra Poonia has already garnered close to 1 million views and tons of comments.

"Oh, I thought was to save from the media glare! Never realized it was bulletproofing," wrote one user on seeing the video.

Absolutely advance technology. I bet US is jealous of this invention of Pakistan, wrote another.

"But they want India to play cricket in Pakistan! @TheRealPCB U must be joking, PCB!," commented a third user on the video.

"Don't tell me the man with the bucket is @ImranKhanPTI," wrote a fourth.

After Imran Khan was shot in the leg during a political rally in Wazirabad in November 2022, PTI claims that Khan faces threats to his life and therefore travels under high security.
