New Delhi: Rashtriya Janata Dal MLA and Deputy Chief Whip of the ruling party in Bihar Assembly Akhtarul Islam Shaheen has admitted that the violence that erupted during Ram Navami was a result of administrative lapse.
Speaking to ABP News, the RJD MLA said that local administration including Superintendent of Police, Deputy Superintendent of Police were to be held responsible for the violence.
He said that he will demand action against the officials adding how they did not know about the planning of the violence by some groups.
“When some organisations systematically plan to disturb a festival, which they have been doing for the past many days, then how could the officials not know about it,” he said.
Meanwhile Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar denied administrative failure saying the unrest was caused deliberately as a part of conspiracy.
“There is peace everywhere in the state now. We are keeping a watch on the situation at both places (Nalanda & Rohtas). It was not a failure of the administration. Some have deliberately caused this unrest as a part of the conspiracy,” he said.

Meanwhile, all the government and private schools in violence-hit Sasaram will open soon. The District Education Officer has issued orders in this regard. Along with this, he has given instructions to open all coaching institutes from Thursday. After the violent clash in Sasaram, all the schools and colleges here were closed.
While the schools and colleges have been directed to resume in the district, internet services will still remain suspended.
In a statement issued by the District Officer, it has been said that internet services will remain shut in Rohtas district till further orders.
