Ever heard of baboons attacking a leapord? A surprising video of around 50 baboons attacking a leopard in a remote area of South Africa has emerged on the internet. The video of this surprising encounter has been uploaded on the YouTube channel of Latest Sightings and has gone insanely viral.

The clip opens to show a leopard walking on the side of a largely empty road. In the next shot a troop of baboons can be seen moving on the same road. Soon the leopard charges towards the group thinking that one of them would be an easy prey. The moment it makes the move and tries to hunt down one of them, the entire group pounces of the leopard. Soon the the big cat realised it is outnumbered and lacks the strength to endure the assault so it tried to escape. The baboons made a chase but were no match to the leopards speed.

According to the channel Latest Sightings, the video was originally shared by Ricky da Fonseca.

Since being shared on YouTube, the video has amassed 388K views and several comments.

"The alpha male baboon deserves all the praise. He changed the whole momentum of his troop with his bravery," commented one user on the video.

"The alpha male instantly said, "Not on MY watch!" The hunter became the hunted. I love leopards but that was an awesome display of teamwork and unity from the baboons. The best defense is a strong offense. Wow," wrote another user.

"One moment you are relaxing and enjoying life, the next moment you are in the fight of your life. Tons of respect for the monkey that attacked the leopard as first one," commented a third.

"The leopard will forever have a healthy fear of baboons. Almost went into the after life," wrote a fourth.
