Jasprit Bumrah, India's leading pace bowler, has been out of competitive cricket action since September last year. The right-arm speedster was being looked upon as critical to team's chances in Asia Cup and T20 World Cup last year but injury saw him miss out on both these events. As it turned out, India ended up getting eliminated from both the tournaments. This year too he will be in race against time to get back his groove as he plays his first game in 11 months when India take on Ireland in the three-match T20I series opener on Friday (August 18).

However, in what is a great sight for Indian cricket fans and management alike, Bumrah was seen acing a bouncer and a yorker at the nets days before his comeback match in which he will also be the captain. The video of Bumrah back at what he does best, bowling lethal deliveries, was shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on their official Twitter handle.

Take a look at the video here:

Bumrah will have less turnaround between the three matches of the series. While all the three matches of the series are scheduled to be played at The Village in Dublin, the second and the third T20I of the series are scheduled on August 20 and August 23 respectively after which Bumrah is most likely named in the India squad for Asia Cup 2023 beginning later this month.

The much-anticipated India vs Pakistan is set to be played on September 2 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele. The tournament could witness three clashes between the arch-rivals. If both teams secure a place in the Super Fours, they will lock horns on September 10 in Colombo and if both make it to the final, they will meet at the same venue on September 17.
